On December 13, 2024, Rep. Carbajal expressed skepticism regarding former President Donald Trump's promises to reduce living costs. He stated: "Donald Trump is already backtracking his grand promise to lower your cost of living, and he's not even in office yet." Carbajal reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for lower prices for essential goods such as groceries and housing for families on the Central Coast.

In another tweet posted on the same day, Rep. Carbajal commemorated the anniversary of a significant international agreement: "9 years ago, the U.S. and 194 other nations adopted the Paris Climate Accords, the largest commitment in world history to combating climate change." This reflects his continued focus on environmental issues.

Additionally, he addressed potential challenges to this commitment from political opponents: "While the extreme right talks about reneging on our commitment, I will fight in Congress to ensure America lives up to its promise to safeguard the only planet we've got."
