Board Members Sworn-in for New Terms

Three members of the Contra Costa County Board of Education who won re-election in November took the oath of office during a special meeting on Friday, December 9. Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools Lynn Mackey administered the oaths.  



Sarah G. Butler, representing Area 2 (Canyon, Concord, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Walnut Creek, parts of Alamo, El Sobrante and Kensington); Mike Maxwell, representing Area 4 (Blackhawk, Clayton, Danville, San Ramon, and parts of Alamo and Concord); and Annette Lewis representing Area 5 (Antioch, Bethel Island, Brentwood, Byron, Discovery Bay, Knightsen, Oakley and parts of Pittsburg) all recited their oaths of office and were sworn into new four-year terms, which will expire on December 9, 2026.
