On Thursday, October 20, 6-7 pm, in the Library Conference Room, the public is invited to discuss Oyinkan Braithwaite’s witty debut novel, My Sister the Serial Killer.
Winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize in the category of Mystery/Thriller novels, My Sister the Serial Killer is about a Nigerian woman, Korede, whose younger sister, Ayoola, has a habit of killing off her boyfriends. Korede's practicality is her sisters' saving grace, but the day comes when Korede must reckon with what her sister has become and how far she's willing to go to protect her. Sharp as nails and full of deadpan wit, Braithwaite's debut novel is as fun as it is frightening.
