Salud Carbajal, a representative serving California’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed several pressing political issues through a series of tweets.

On April 9, 2025, Carbajal highlighted efforts by Republican members of the House Agriculture Committee, stating they plan to cut $230 billion from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to finance tax cuts for billionaires. Carbajal remarked, "Yesterday, my Republican colleagues on the House Agriculture Committee tried to distract us all from the fact that they plan to cut $230 billion from SNAP to give tax cuts to billionaires."

In another post on the same date, Carbajal criticized the tariffs imposed by former President Trump, noting their potential impact on the costs of Chinese goods. He cautioned against relying on Republican viewpoints about domestic manufacturing benefits, arguing, "Last night, Trump’s 100%+ tariff tax on all Chinese goods went into effect, potentially doubling the price of every Chinese-made product on store shelves."

Additionally, on April 9, 2025, he supported his colleague Rep. Ted Lieu’s views on a matter involving the U.S. President and a ceremony honoring fallen soldiers, declaring, ".@RepTedLieu is absolutely right. It was a disgrace that the president of Lithuania made the effort to honor our fallen soldiers, but our own Commander-In-Chief decided to skip the ceremony to play golf."
