Rep. Salud Carbajal, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 24th District, recently shared several tweets highlighting diverse issues and events. Carbajal, who succeeded Lois Capps in 2017 following his tenure on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2017, has maintained a notable presence in his district's community and political discourse.

On March 30, 2025, Carbajal encouraged Central Coast high school students to participate in the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. He emphasized the opportunity for students to "show off your creativity" and "showcase your talent." The tweet can be found here.

On March 31, 2025, Carbajal acknowledged Indivisible Santa Barbara for its advocacy against what he termed the Trump Administration's "ongoing attacks" on constitutional rights. He expressed appreciation for discussions on uniting efforts to "safeguard our rights." The discussion is captured in the tweet here.

Later that day, Carbajal reiterated his support for the transgender community amidst actions by Trump and the GOP which he perceives as attempts to "erase trans people." He aligned himself with @EqualityCaucus in commemorating #TransDayOfVisibility, emphasizing the right of trans individuals to "live openly" and "be protected under the law."
