On April 1, 2025, Carbajal critically addressed former President Donald Trump's economic policies, particularly concerning new tariffs. He commented on the adverse effects of these tariffs, expressing concerns over their impact on international relations and increasing costs for consumers. His impending tariffs are not only straining relationships with our allies, but they're also destabilizing the market and will drive up costs on everyday goods for hardworking Americans."
