Rep. Salud Carbajal, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 24th district, recently shared his thoughts and activities on social media. The congressman addressed various topics including consumer financial protection, local community engagement, and the importance of 211 services.

On February 11, 2025, Rep. Carbajal expressed concern over President Musk's actions regarding consumer financial protection agencies. He stated that "President Musk is making good on his promise to 'delete' the agency in charge of promoting fairness and transparency for mortgages, credit cards, and other consumer financial products and services." Carbajal highlighted the potential impact on families who have been affected by predatory financial institutions.

Later that day, Rep. Carbajal thanked attendees of an emergency town hall held over the weekend. In his post from February 11, 2025, he mentioned "Thank you to everyone who joined me this weekend at the emergency town hall! I know we’re facing difficult times, but it was great to share an update on what I’m doing to fight back against policies that are hurting the Central Coast." He invited those who could not attend to join him for future discussions.
