Rep. Salud Carbajal, representing California's 24th District in the U.S. Congress since 2017, has been vocal on various issues through his social media platform. Carbajal, who succeeded Lois Capps and previously served on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors, shared his concerns regarding privacy and immigration matters.

On February 6, 2025, Carbajal expressed concern over data privacy under the Trump Administration. He stated that "The Trump Admin just confirmed that their billionaire donors have access to Americans' personal data." Emphasizing his stance, he added, "Not on my watch." Carbajal highlighted efforts by himself and House Democrats to counteract these actions through investigations and legislation. Later that day, Carbajal addressed immigration concerns in Spanish. Reflecting on his own experiences as an immigrant, he acknowledged challenges faced by families in the Central Coast region: "Como inmigrante, sé que estos momentos son difíciles para las familias de la Costa Central." He assured constituents of ongoing efforts to defend their rights and prevent mass deportation projects. "Como inmigrante, sé que estos momentos son difíciles para las familias de la Costa Central."
