On February 2, 2025, Rep. Carbajal expressed his support for local artists by attending a community concert. He stated, "Had a great evening on Monday attending the Santa Cecilia community concert at Marjorie Luke Theater in Santa Barbara organized by UCSB Arts and Lectures." He emphasized his pride in supporting the Central Coast's artists.

The following day, on February 3, 2025, Rep. Carbajal addressed concerns regarding USAID funding and governance in a tweet. He highlighted that USAID constitutes only 0.6% of the federal budget and warned against reducing its programs as it could impact American leadership abroad. He stated, "It's not up to an unelected billionaire to decide its future. Only Congress has the power of the purse."
