Rep. Salud Carbajal, who has been serving California's 24th district in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared his thoughts on various topics via social media. His posts reflect his concerns about historical remembrance, public safety, and social security benefits.
On January 27, 2025, Rep. Carbajal marked International Holocaust Remembrance Day by stating: "Today as we honor International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mourn the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of other victims. We must never forget, and always stand against antisemitism, prejudice, and bigotry."
Later that day, he expressed his disapproval of a recent decision by former President Trump regarding a convicted felon: "David Dempsey stomped on at least one police officer’s head, beat officers with a flagpole, a crutch, and a broken piece of furniture, and sprayed officers in the face with pepper spray. President Trump just released this violent felon & hundreds of others back on our streets."
On January 28, 2025, Carbajal highlighted his involvement in passing significant legislation related to Social Security: "The Social Security Fairness Act is the largest expansion of Social Security in decades. I worked across the aisle to ensure that public servants receive the benefits they’ve earned. If you think you may be eligible, click below to learn more."
