Salud Carbajal, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 24th district, shared several statements on social media addressing key issues facing the nation. In his posts, Carbajal addressed topics ranging from constitutional rights to public safety and environmental challenges.

On January 26, 2025, Carbajal expressed his views on birthright citizenship in the United States. He stated, "The Constitution is clear: birthright citizenship is a fundamental right for anyone born in the United States." He criticized an executive order by former President Donald Trump, suggesting it lacked substance.

Later that day, Carbajal commented on a controversial presidential pardon. He highlighted the case of DJ Rodriguez, who had been involved in an attack on Officer Michael Fanone. According to Carbajal's post on January 26, 2025, "DJ Rodriguez repeatedly shocked Officer Michael Fanone with a taser - causing him to lose consciousness and suffer a heart attack." He noted that President Trump pardoned Rodriguez along with other individuals convicted of violent acts against law enforcement.

In another tweet posted on January 27, 2025, Carbajal turned his attention to environmental concerns in California. He praised first responders battling wildfires and discussed legislative efforts he was undertaking. As he stated in his tweet, "Hundreds of brave firefighters & first responders are on the frontlines in California battling devastating wildfires — and they deserve our support." He mentioned advocating for federal policy changes aimed at preventing such disasters.
