Rep. Salud Carbajal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 24th district since 2017, recently shared updates on various topics through social media posts. Carbajal, who has been serving in public office since his tenure on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2017, addressed issues ranging from healthcare reforms to environmental conservation.

On December 2, 2024, Rep. Salud Carbajal highlighted efforts to reduce prescription drug costs for seniors through Medicare. He noted that "Medicare is lowering prescription drug costs for America’s seniors." The introduction of a "$2,000-a-year cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs" aims to alleviate financial burdens on seniors purchasing necessary medications. "Medicare is lowering prescription drug costs for America’s seniors."

Later that day, Carbajal commented on former President Donald Trump's association with Project 2025 and its implications. He questioned Trump’s involvement by recalling past statements and pointed out current actions: "Now he's hiring its architects to restrict reproductive care," among other policy changes like cutting education funding and altering Social Security and Medicare provisions. "Remember when Donald Trump said he had nothing to do with Project 2025?"

On December 3, 2024, Rep. Carbajal celebrated the establishment of the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary as an important milestone for environmental conservation along California's Central Coast. He referred to it as an early Christmas gift: "Last Saturday marked the official birthday of the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary," which spans over a hundred miles and ranks as one of the largest marine sanctuaries in U.S. history."Christmas came early this year!"
