How many students were enrolled in Templeton Unified School District in 2022-23 school year?

Templeton Unified School District's schools enrolled 2,257 students in the 2022-23 school year, 1.6% less than the previous year, according to the California Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.8% of them were girls, and 49.2% were boys.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, making up 64.8% of the Templeton Unified School District's total enrollment.

Templeton Unified School District covers seven schools within San Luis Obispo County with its main office in Templeton.

Among the seven schools in Templeton Unified School District, Templeton High School recorded the highest enrollment of 775 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In the last decade, enrollment in California elementary and secondary schools rose by at least 5%, while high school enrollment dropped 5%.

However, overall enrollment in California public schools is sliding, and the Public Policy Institute of California expects it to drop another 8% by the 2031-32 school year.
