SOUTH BAYLO UNIVERSITY: $1 Million Gift

South Baylo University issued the following announcement on Mar. 31. 

The Board of Trustees is very pleased to announce a major gift of $1 million to South Baylo University from Jennifer Park, Ph.D. (China), L.Ac. Dr. Jennifer Park and her late husband David J. Park, Ph.D. co-founded South Baylo University in 1977. “I wanted to honor my husband’s memory. This gift achieves this by making sure his legacy, South Baylo University itself, will prosper and continue to serve its students and the community for many years to come,” said Dr. Park.

The University’s Interim President Dr. Edwin Follick stated, “Dr. Park’s gift is a statement of trust in the University and an investment in the practice of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in the United States.”

Dr. Jennifer Park is a member of South Baylo University’s Board of Trustees and is currently serving as Chair of the Board. “I believe in leadership, and investment in our students,” said Dr. Park.

South Baylo University is one of the oldest acupuncture educational institutions in the United States with campuses in Los Angeles and Anaheim, California. Both campuses operate clinics open to the public. The University offers master’s and doctoral programs with full accreditation in Acupuncture, Herbology, and Traditional Chinese Medicine and has graduated more practitioners than any other acupuncture educational institutions in the nation. South Baylo University offers instructional programs in three languages such as Chinese, English and Korean.

South Baylo University’s mission is to expand the knowledge of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and serve the community through quality education, research, and patient care.
