CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE: Pavement Striping Refresh Project

Construction

City of Arroyo Grande issued the following announcement on Feb. 9.

Toste Construction, Inc. under contract with the City of Arroyo Grande will be performing pavement striping on certain streets within the City between February 14-18, 2022, and February 22-25, 2022. The purpose of the restriping is to maintain pavement markings that identify travel lanes and other guidance markings for auto, pedestrian, bicycle, transit and other forms of transportation within the City.

The street segments scheduled for this work are as follows:

  • Brisco Road - El Camino Real to East Grand Avenue
  • South Halcyon Road - Fair Oaks Avenue to The Pike
  • East Grand Avenue - Oak Park Boulevard to Halcyon Road
  • West Branch Street - Oak Park Boulevard to Brisco Road
  • James Way - Tally Ho Road to Salida Del Sol
  • East Branch Street at Mason Street intersection
During construction there will be intermittent lane closures/shifting of traffic for safety purposes, but it is not anticipated that any roadway will be closed completely to vehicular traffic. The Contractor will place informational barricades on the streets advising of specific dates and locations of any parking restrictions. Please note that although the barricade may state certain hours, the actual construction work may occur at any time within that range. Normal work hours will be between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.

The pavement striping may cause temporary inconvenience because of the nature of the work. The City appreciates your patience during this period and will attempt to minimize the inconvenience. Please contact the Community Development Department at (805) 473-5420 if you have special needs or concerns that should be taken into consideration during construction. If you have specific questions about the project, please contact Jill McPeek, Capital Improvement Project Manager at (805) 473-5444 or jmcpeek@arroyogrande.org. The City will have an inspector on site to address concerns you may have.
