CITY OF ARROYO GRANDE: Mayor’s Challenge Holiday House Decorating Contest

Contest

City of Arroyo Grande issued the following announcement on Dec. 8

The City of Arroyo Grande is pleased to announce the Mayor’s Challenge Holiday House Decorating Contest. Arroyo Grande residents are invited to register their decorated homes and/or nominate their neighbor’s home online by December 20, 2020 for the chance to win prizes in the categories of Most Festive, Best Use of Lights, Most Creative, and Best Overall. Houses will be judged by local volunteers and the winners of each category will be announced on Tuesday, December 22nd. A map featuring locations of decorated houses is available at www.arroyogrande.org for citizens to enjoy. Unique to this year’s home decorating contest, the City is partnering with the local non-profit, SLO Food Bank, and residents entering the contest are encouraged to donate to support our friends and neighbors in need. All proceeds generated will go towards the SLO Food Bank. For additional information and to register your house, visit www.arroyogrande.org.

The Recreation Services Department is evolving daily and continues to provide opportunities for community members to connect with family members and neighbors in meaningful ways. Visit the Virtual Recreation website, www.arroyogrande.org/Virtual-Recreation, for activities and ideas during the holiday season, or join the #agrec team on social media today to find out how you can stay connected!
