Salud Carbajal, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 24th district, recently shared a series of tweets covering various personal and community topics. Carbajal has been a member of Congress since 2017 after succeeding Lois Capps and previously served on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2017.

On March 17, 2025, Rep. Salud Carbajal extended festive greetings to his constituents celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on the Central Coast with a tweet stating, "Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone celebrating on the Central Coast! ".

Later that day, Carbajal addressed high school students in the region with an invitation to participate in a national art contest. In a more personal note posted at 20:32 UTC, Carbajal shared news of a recent family loss: their cat Peeps. He expressed his grief in a tweet saying, "Our family is saddened—we recently lost our treasured and beloved cat Peeps. He enriched our lives with his presence and of course his antics. Peeps, you will be greatly missed."
