On March 14, 2025, Carbajal extended his best wishes to the Central Coast community on the occasion of Holi. He expressed hope that the festival of colors would bring joy and happiness to those celebrating with friends and family. "Happy Holi, Central Coast! May this day bring you joy and happiness celebrating the festival of colors with friends and family."

Later that same day, Carbajal voiced his opposition to a Republican spending bill through another tweet. He stated that House Democrats were united against what he described as a partisan bill threatening vital programs for working families and reducing funding for veterans' health care. He criticized Republicans for not pursuing a bipartisan budget while allegedly providing unrestricted financial support to Donald Trump. On March 15, 2025, Carbajal addressed concerns regarding actions by Donald Trump and Elon Musk that he believes are jeopardizing services for veterans. He mentioned having met with CalVet officials to discuss these issues and reaffirmed his commitment to advocating for veterans in Washington D.C., particularly those from the Central Coast region.
