Of the 30,444 people living in Atascadero city in 2020, 50.4 percent (15,334) were women and 49.6 percent (15,110) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SLO Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 16. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,568 females and 2,305 males.
