Of the 10,578 people living in Morro Bay city in 2019, 51.6 percent (5,453) were women and 48.4 percent (5,125) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SLO Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 2,987-to-2,873. In the 65 and over age range, there were 1,853 females and 1,427 males.
