South River Road in Paso Robles will be closed for construction on December 18, 2025, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the City of Paso Robles Community Development Department. The closure will take place between Creston Road and Navajo Avenue. The end time for the closure may change depending on when the work is finished.

The construction involves upgrades to power poles along the bluff, with crane operations scheduled as part of Pacific Gas & Electric’s (PGE) Estrella Highline Project. This project aims to strengthen electrical service in Paso Robles.

Detour routes will be marked with message boards and temporary signs. Drivers are advised to use Niblick Road, Appaloosa Drive, Nickerson Drive, and Creston Road during the closure.

For more information about the project or road closure, residents can contact the City’s Community Development Department Engineering Division at (805) 237-3860 or by email at engineering@prcity.com.
