Seven players from the Cal Poly Mustangs football team have been recognized on the Big Sky All-Conference Teams, according to an announcement by the Big Sky Conference on Wednesday.

Linebackers Mikey D’Amato and Kenny Olson were both named to the First Team All-Big Sky Defense. D’Amato was one of only two players in the conference to be selected unanimously. Long snapper Spencer Moore also earned a spot on the First Team as a specialist.

On offense, center Racin Delgatty was selected for the Second Team All-Big Sky Offense. Defensive lineman Victory Johnson and safety Jeremiah Bernard received Second Team honors for defense. Wide receiver Michael Briscoe was given Honorable Mention for his offensive performance.

D’Amato had a standout season, leading the Big Sky in tackles with 137, which tied him for fourth nationally and ranked third all-time in a single season at Cal Poly. He recorded double-digit tackles in seven games, including a season-high 19 against Sacramento State. D’Amato also contributed six sacks, 8.5 tackles for loss, three quarterback hurries, one pass breakup, and an interception.

Olson finished second in tackles within the Big Sky with 117, tying him for 13th nationally and placing him seventh in program history. He also registered six tackles for loss, two sacks, seven quarterback hurries, and two pass breakups over seven games with double-digit tackles.

Moore served as Cal Poly’s long snapper over the past two seasons without recording any bad snaps during field goals, PATs or punts.

Delgatty started at center throughout the season and allowed just one sack while being rated among the top pass-blocking centers in FCS football.

Bernard led Cal Poly with four interceptions this year—tied for third most in the conference—and added six pass breakups along with 57 total tackles (fourth on his team), three tackles for loss and a forced fumble during his sophomore campaign.

Johnson contributed three sacks (second-most on team), seven tackles for loss (second-most), five quarterback hurries (third-most), two pass breakups and an interception while playing defensive end.

Briscoe capped off his college career by leading Cal Poly in all receiving categories: he scored seven touchdowns (fourth most in Big Sky), averaged 18.1 yards per catch (also fourth), posted 77.9 receiving yards per game (third) and totaled 779 yards overall (seventh). Briscoe also threw a touchdown pass this season and caught four touchdown passes in one game.

The selections were determined by votes from all head coaches across the Big Sky Conference. Montana State claimed three of five major awards: Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year.
