U.S. Representative Salud Carbajal, who serves California’s 24th district, addressed several national issues in a series of posts on November 12 and 13, 2025. Carbajal called for transparency regarding the Epstein files and criticized recent Republican legislative efforts related to health insurance costs.
On November 12, Carbajal wrote, “The American people deserve to know the truth about the Epstein files. The Administration should keep its promise and release those documents immediately.”
Later that day, he commented on economic pressures facing families: “Families are being crushed by the high cost of living. Instead of working in a bipartisan way to fix it, Republicans are pushing a partisan spending bill that will significantly raise families’ health insurance costs.
My House Democratic colleagues and I are standing in strong”
On November 13, Carbajal explained his opposition to a proposed funding bill: “Today I voted against the Republican funding bill because it will force millions of families to choose between higher health insurance costs or no coverage at all. I will not stand for that. I call on Republicans to undo the damage they’re causing and pass a bipartisan ACA tax”
Salud Carbajal has represented California’s 24th congressional district since 2017 after succeeding Lois Capps. Before his tenure in Congress, he served on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2017. Born in Moroleón, Guanajuato in 1964, Carbajal currently resides in Santa Barbara and is an alumnus of the University of California, Santa Barbara (https://carbajal.house.gov/about).
