Rep. Salud Carbajal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 24th district, has recently voiced his opinions on several significant issues through social media posts. Carbajal has been an active political figure since he replaced Lois Capps in 2017 and continues to engage with both local and national matters.
On March 12, 2025, Carbajal joined Rep. Becca B. and 88 colleagues in expressing strong opposition to a policy enacted by former President Trump. He stated: “Joined @RepBeccaB and 88 of my colleagues in condemning Trump’s dangerous ban on life-saving health care for trans youth.” He further criticized the measure as “reckless interference that threatens trans lives” and called for its rescission.
The following day, March 13, 2025, Carbajal collaborated with Sen. Adam Schiff and other members of the California delegation to address environmental concerns related to offshore oil operations. In his tweet, he mentioned: “I’m working alongside @SenAdamSchiff and 21 members of the California delegation to urge @CAgovernor to join us in demanding that Sable Offshore Corp. conduct a thorough environmental review before making any decisions about restarting offshore oil operations off the Gaviota…”
Later on March 13, Carbajal addressed budgetary matters concerning government funding. He shared his stance with the public by tweeting: “.@HouseDemocrats stand united for a four-week funding extension that stops harmful cuts, keeps government open, and allows Congress to reach a bipartisan funding agreement — let’s get this done, I’m ready to vote.”
