On March 12, 2025, Carbajal joined Rep. Becca B. and 88 colleagues in expressing strong opposition to a policy enacted by former President Trump. He stated: “Joined @RepBeccaB and 88 of my colleagues in condemning Trump’s dangerous ban on life-saving health care for trans youth.” He further criticized the measure as “reckless interference that threatens trans lives” and called for its rescission.
The following day, March 13, 2025, Carbajal collaborated with Sen. Adam Schiff and other members of the California delegation to address environmental concerns related to offshore oil operations.
