Rep. Salud Carbajal, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 24th district, has recently expressed his views on various issues through social media posts. Carbajal, who succeeded Lois Capps in 2017 and has served since then, is known for his commitment to public service and community engagement.

On March 17, 2025, Carbajal honored Rep. Nita Lowey by highlighting her contributions as a trailblazer for women in politics. He stated that “Rep. Nita Lowey was a champion for New Yorkers and all Americans.” He praised her achievements as the first woman to chair the House Appropriations Committee and emphasized her lasting impact on future leaders.

The following day, March 18, 2025, Carbajal addressed concerns regarding potential healthcare disruptions due to budgetary changes proposed by Republicans. He noted that “over 230,000 people rely on Medicaid” in the Central Coast area and could face challenges if the Republican budget is implemented. This includes nearly 99,000 children and 24,000 seniors who may be affected.

Later that same day, Carbajal thanked participants of his Ventura town hall meeting via another post. He emphasized the importance of listening to constituents by stating “My number 1 priority is listening to my constituents.” Carbajal also pointed out issues such as unchecked power dynamics involving Trump and Musk and criticized Republican budget cuts affecting veterans and families.
