On February 11, 2025, Rep. Carbajal expressed concern over President Musk’s actions regarding consumer financial protection agencies. He stated that “President Musk is making good on his promise to ‘delete’ the agency in charge of promoting fairness and transparency for mortgages, credit cards, and other consumer financial products and services.” Carbajal highlighted the potential impact on families who have been affected by predatory financial institutions.
Later that day, Rep. Carbajal thanked attendees of an emergency town hall held over the weekend.
