Rep. Salud Carbajal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 24th district since 2017, has recently addressed several national and international issues on his social media account.

On September 2, 2025, Carbajal posted about a judicial ruling involving former President Donald Trump: ” A federal judge has determined that Trump broke the law when he recklessly deployed National Guard troops to Los Angeles. The President does not get to create his own ‘national police force’ and place himself as the Chief.”

The following day, September 3, 2025, Carbajal announced his participation in a legislative effort concerning high-profile documents: “I signed @RepThomasMassie & @RepRoKhanna’s discharge petition to force a vote on the release of the Epstein files. The victims deserve justice, and the American people deserve the truth. Release the files.”

Later that same day, Carbajal addressed humanitarian concerns abroad: “The humanitarian crisis in Gaza must end immediately. I joined over 100 of my colleagues in calling on @SecRubio to push for a surge in aid into Gaza. No one should face the suffering we’re witnessing in Gaza, and we must use every diplomatic tool available to push for stronger”

Salud Carbajal has served as California’s representative for its 24th congressional district since succeeding Lois Capps in 2017 and previously held office on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2017. Born in Moroleón, Guanajuato in 1964 and currently residing in Santa Barbara, Carbajal graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BA in 1990.
