On January 22, 2025, Rep. Carbajal informed his followers about the ongoing #HugesFire near the eastern Ventura County/LA County border close to Santa Clarita. Later that day, on January 22, Rep. Carbajal highlighted the positive impacts of recent legislative measures such as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. Carbajal expressed support for California’s firefighters amidst ongoing wildfires in a tweet quoting a line about fires burning without defense: “‘Fires still tragically burn…without even a token of defense.'” He challenged former President Donald Trump to spend a day on the front lines with these firefighters and expressed pride in representing them as they work to keep Californians safe.
