Rep. Salud Carbajal, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 24th district, marked National Hispanic Heritage Month with messages highlighting the contributions of Latino and immigrant communities on the Central Coast and across the nation.
On September 15, 2025, Carbajal posted: “American society is more vibrant thanks to our Latino communities. Salud Carbajal has represented California’s 24th district in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Lois Capps. Before his tenure in Congress, he served on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2017. Born in Moroleón, Guanajuato in 1964, Carbajal resides in Santa Barbara and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
