Rep. Salud Carbajal, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 24th district, marked National Hispanic Heritage Month with messages highlighting the contributions of Latino and immigrant communities on the Central Coast and across the nation.

On September 15, 2025, Carbajal posted: “American society is more vibrant thanks to our Latino communities. This National Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor and celebrate those contributions on the Central Coast and throughout the nation and recommit ourselves to protecting and uplifting our immigrant communities who https://t.co/c3nKs73Yxs”.

He followed up with a Spanish-language post on the same day: “Los Estados Unidos es más vibrante gracias a nuestras comunidades latinas. En este Mes Nacional de la Herencia Hispana, honramos y celebramos esas contribuciones, y reafirmamos nuestro compromiso de proteger y apoyar a nuestras comunidades inmigrantes que fortalecen a nuestro https://t.co/WttChfMQ1d”.

On September 16, 2025, Carbajal questioned political rhetoric in another post: “…is this the Golden Age Trump talks about? https://t.co/9NFTAnpghy”.

Salud Carbajal has represented California’s 24th district in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Lois Capps. Before his tenure in Congress, he served on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2017. Born in Moroleón, Guanajuato in 1964, Carbajal resides in Santa Barbara and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
