Rep. Salud Carbajal, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 24th district, recently shared a series of tweets covering personal milestones and national issues. His educational background includes a BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

On February 14, 2025, Rep. Carbajal tweeted about his personal life: “38 years ago today, I married my forever Valentine, Gina! Happy Valentine’s Day to all celebrating on the Central Coast and especially to my beautiful wife.”

Later that day, he addressed the tragic anniversary of the Parkland shooting with somber reflection: “Seven years ago today, 17 people were killed in Parkland. Since then, we have experienced the same national grief time and again. We should be able to send our children off to school without worrying if they’ll come home. It doesn’t have to be like this.”

Carbajal also highlighted his ongoing advocacy for veterans’ rights regarding housing discrimination: “Veterans should never be denied access to housing due to disability benefits they receive.
