Rep. Salud Carbajal, who represents California’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, recently highlighted his engagement with local organizations and shared a personal family update through a series of social media posts.
On November 14, 2025, Carbajal wrote about meeting with a local business group: “Joined the Santa Maria Chamber of Commerce to discuss their work supporting Latino-owned small businesses and efforts to revitalize downtown. Their leadership and commitment to creating opportunities is key to building a thriving local economy.”
A day later, on November 15, 2025, he posted about his discussion with Direct Relief’s leadership: “Met with Direct Relief’s new CEO Amy Weaver to discuss the organization’s global and local impact. From delivering medication and supplies internationally, to supporting communities here on the Central Coast, their work saves lives every day.”
On November 17, 2025, Carbajal shared news from his family: “Our family is excited to welcome our twin grandsons into the world! Congratulations to my daughter Natasha and son-in-law Ernie.”
Salud Carbajal has represented California’s 24th congressional district since 2017 after succeeding Lois Capps. Before joining Congress, he served on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors for over a decade. Born in Moroleón, Guanajuato in 1964 and now residing in Santa Barbara, Carbajal graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1990.
