On April 19, 2025, Rep. Carbajal shared his experience visiting a scientific facility, stating: “Shuji Nakamura was kind enough to give me a tour of his new Blue Laser Fusion laboratory in Goleta. Supporting clean energy is so important to our economic and environmental future.” This highlights his continued advocacy for clean energy initiatives.

The following day, April 20, 2025, he extended festive greetings to his constituents, tweeting: “Happy Easter to all who are celebrating on the Central Coast! “ This gesture reflects his commitment to community engagement and cultural acknowledgment.

On April 21, 2025, Carbajal addressed a national security concern, expressing a strong stance against a federal executive, Pete Hegseth, with a call for his resignation. He tweeted: “Pete Hegseth must resign immediately. He continues to show us that he’s not capable of running the Pentagon and his incompetence is putting our servicemembers and national security at risk. Enough is enough.” This statement underscores his focus on maintaining competent leadership in national defense.

Salud Carbajal has been a congressional representative since 2017, previously serving on the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors. Born in 1964 in Moroleón, Guanajuato, Carbajal lives in Santa Barbara and is a University of California, Santa Barbara alumnus.
