Rep. Salud Carbajal, currently serving California’s 24th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently taken to social media to express his views on various issues. His comments cover topics such as economic policies and social contributions.

On January 31, 2025, Carbajal criticized the House Republicans for their inaction on addressing cost-of-living issues. He remarked: “We made it through all of January without House Republicans bringing up a single bill to lower the cost of living. Nothing on grocery prices. Nothing on housing or rent. Nothing on child care costs. But at least we have the Gulf of America now.”

In a subsequent tweet on February 1, 2025, he highlighted the importance of Black Americans’ contributions during Black History Month: “Our country is a better place because of the contributions of Black Americans. This Black History Month, we honor and recognize the extraordinary achievements of Black Americans in every part of American life and culture.”

Later that day, Carbajal reiterated his stance against tariffs, emphasizing their impact on consumer prices: “Tariffs are taxes that raise prices for the American people.” He repeated this statement three times to underscore his point.
