Rep. Salud Carbajal, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 24th district since 2017, recently shared his thoughts on various issues through a series of tweets.
On March 18, 2025, Carbajal expressed criticism towards President Biden’s administration in an online post. He wrote: “Mr. President, you ran on lowering the cost of—everything—your entire campaign and now we have to “shut up” and “learn to love” you barreling us into a recession? Egg prices through the roof, Americans losing their jobs, trade wars with our closest allies…not much to love.”
The following day, March 19, 2025, Carbajal celebrated local progress in food access by attending an event at the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County South County Share House. In a tweet, he stated: “Had a fantastic time at the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County South County Share House ribbon cutting! Proud to help secure $1.5M in community project funding to make this project a reality. This is a huge step in expanding food access for our community!”
Later that day, he invited nominations for the 2025 Congressional Women of the Year award in another post. He encouraged participation by writing: “Know an extraordinary woman whose hard work is changing lives in our community? Help us honor her by nominating her for the 2025 Congressional Women of the Year award! Let’s recognize the incredible women shaping our future.”
