Rep. Salud Carbajal, U.S. Congressman representing California’s 24th district since 2017, recently posted a series of messages on his social media account addressing community events and concerns.
On September 8, 2025, Carbajal announced an upcoming event: “My office will be hosting a virtual Military Service Academy info night on Tuesday, September 16th at 5:30 PM!
We’ll discuss how students can apply through my office for appointments, what that process entails, and what each of the different academies has to offer.
Use”.
Later that evening, on September 9, he posted a brief message: “Release the files. https://t.co/3XcXhRacUw”.
In another post from the same day, Carbajal criticized recent actions by the Supreme Court and raised concerns about civil rights protections: “This radical Supreme Court has given Donald Trump a pass to target people solely based on the color of their skin or the language they speak, including U.S. citizens. Now more than ever, it’s critical for you to know your rights when encountering ICE officers.

Carbajal has served in Congress since replacing Lois Capps in 2017 and previously was a member of the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors from 2005 to 2017. He was born in Moroleón, Guanajuato in 1964 and currently resides in Santa Barbara. Carbajal graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990.
