Rep. Salud Carbajal, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 24th district, posted a series of messages on his official Twitter account addressing both community concerns and national issues in early May 2026.
On May 10, Carbajal extended gratitude to mothers nationwide with the message: “To every mother on the Central Coast and across our country — thank you. The love and strength you bring to your families and community doesn’t go unnoticed. Happy Mother’s Day! https://t.co/keD1xAxgtx”.
The following day, Carbajal addressed an emergency situation involving offshore infrastructure in his district. On May 11 he wrote: “My office is closely monitoring reports of a fire on Platform Habitat, and we are in active communication with the U.S. Coast Guard to assess the situation. Commercial and recreational vessels in the Santa Barbara Channel should stay alert and follow all guidance from local”.
Later that same day, Carbajal commented on federal spending under former President Donald Trump, voicing support for legislative action regarding military engagement abroad: “While Trump spends billions of dollars of taxpayer money on his illegal war, the cost of everyday essentials continues to skyrocket. I’m supporting @RepPatRyanNY No Funds for Iran War Act because Americans should not be forced to foot the bill for an endless, unauthorized”.
