Rep. Salud Carbajal, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 24th district since 2017, has shared several updates on social media addressing various topics of interest and concern. Carbajal’s statements reflect his ongoing involvement in national security, education initiatives, and local community matters.
On July 9, 2025, Rep. Carbajal criticized recent actions within the Pentagon in a tweet stating: “Just a few months ago, Pete Hegseth was a TV show host on Fox News. The following day, on July 10, 2025, Rep. Carbajal reached out to young students in his district through another tweet encouraging participation in an educational initiative: “Middle and high school students on the Central Coast — this is your moment.” He invited them to enter the “2025 Congressional App Challenge,” with an October 30 deadline for submissions.
Later that same day, Rep. Carbajal addressed an incident involving immigration enforcement activities with a brief statement via social media regarding an ICE raid: “My full statement following the ICE Raid in Carpinteria.” The link provided leads to his detailed response about the event.
