The City of Paso Robles announced on May 13 that it is seeking volunteers to help with its upcoming free community Fourth of July celebration at Barney Schwartz Park. The event will mark America’s 250th anniversary and is being organized in partnership with Travel Paso.
The city reports that the celebration will feature family-friendly activities starting at 4 p.m., a Family Fun Zone, food vendors, two live bands, and a fireworks finale set to music. Organizers say the event aims to bring together residents and visitors for an evening focused on patriotism and community spirit.
Approximately 25 volunteers are needed to support city staff during the festivities. Volunteer shifts are scheduled for two hours each, with available positions including lake monitor, parking attendant, and access control monitor. Volunteers will receive a commemorative event T-shirt, premium parking for the event, and a meal voucher as tokens of appreciation.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the volunteers who help bring this celebration to life each year,” says event coordinator Lynda Plescia. “As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, it’s especially meaningful to see our community come together to create a fun, festive, and memorable experience for families to enjoy together.”
Those interested in volunteering can submit an online application or email Lovella Walker at lwalker@prcity.com. Additional information about the Fourth of July celebration is available at www.PRCity.com/July4.
