The City of Paso Robles announced on Mar. 18 that it will host a Coffee with the City event on Friday, March 27, at 7:30 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Patina Room at Cal Coast Brewery, located at 1346 Railroad Street in downtown Paso Robles.
Coffee with the City is an ongoing series of informal community meetings aimed at providing residents with information about current city issues, projects, and topics. Each session typically features a presentation by city staff followed by a question-and-answer discussion and lasts for one hour.
At the upcoming March 27 session, representatives from the Police and Fire Departments will discuss public safety initiatives and trends affecting Paso Robles. Topics include growth in the city and long-term planning for public safety services. Updates will be given on the Public Safety Training Center, which is expected to benefit both police and fire operations, as well as information about the Drone First Responder Program and current call volumes.
The Fire Department plans to provide updates regarding the city’s Insurance Services Office rating, Fire Hazard Severity Zone designations, defensible space requirements, wildfire preparedness efforts, and progress on an Emergency Medical Services project. The Police Department will present its Annual Report along with updates on staffing levels, recruitment efforts, and development of a future strategic plan.
Coffee will be provided at the event. No preregistration is required and all community members are welcome to attend.
