The Paso Robles Fire Department and Paso Robles Police Department will conduct joint rapid response and active shooter training exercises on March 24 and March 26, according to a statement released Mar. 23. The drills will take place at the old Georgia Brown campus at 525 36th Street, where residents and visitors may notice an increased presence of law enforcement and fire personnel.

The purpose of these exercises is to ensure that both departments are prepared for coordinated responses in the event of an active shooter or other rapid response incidents. The agencies emphasized their commitment to the safety and well-being of all community members during these events.

Officials advised that there is no cause for alarm due to the heightened activity in the area during the scheduled dates. These trainings are part of a series of ongoing rapid response exercises planned over the coming months.

Both departments said that continued preparedness through such training is essential for effective emergency response.
