Of the 18,033 people living in Arroyo Grande city in 2019, 52 percent (9,382) were women and 48 percent (8,651) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SLO Reporter.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 5,380-to-5,258. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,209 females and 1,718 males.
