Of the 30,130 people living in Atascadero city in 2019, 49.5 percent (14,910) were women and 50.5 percent (15,220) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the SLO Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 9,684-to-9,242. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,490 females and 2,197 males.
