Cal Poly women’s tennis has announced its 2026 spring schedule, which includes nine home matches and contests against three teams that advanced beyond the first round of last year’s NCAA Tournament. The team will play a total of 22 matches, featuring 13 nonconference games and nine conference duals.

The season begins with the Cal Winter Invite in Berkeley from January 16 to 18. Cal Poly will then start its dual match schedule in San Diego, facing BYU on January 24 at the University of San Diego’s Hogan Tennis Center, followed by a match against San Diego the next day.

Big West play opens for Cal Poly at home on February 1 against UC Davis. This marks the start of a five-match homestand, which also includes games against Boise State—who won their first Mountain West Championship last year—and Saint Mary’s. The meeting with Boise State is their first in three decades.

On February 17, Cal Poly hosts a doubleheader against UC Riverside and Fresno State before heading out for six consecutive away matches through early March. The Mustangs return home on March 12 to host Princeton for their first-ever meeting under the lights at Ronca Tennis Center.

During spring break, Cal Poly faces Pepperdine—last season’s West Coast Conference champion—in Malibu on March 21. Additional road games include UT Arlington and TCU later that week.

The team returns to San Luis Obispo to host Long Beach State and Hawai’i at the end of March and beginning of April. Their final two regular-season road matches are scheduled for April 11 and 12 against Cal State Fullerton and UC Irvine.

Senior Day takes place on April 18 when Blue-Green rival UC Santa Barbara visits Ronca Tennis Center as part of Alumni Weekend. Last season, UCSB narrowly defeated Cal Poly in the Big West Championship final before advancing past Rice in the NCAA First Round.

Cal Poly will also host two neutral-site matches this season: Boise State vs. Saint Mary’s on February 7 and Fresno State vs. Princeton on March 10.

The Big West Championships are set for April 22-26 at Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, using last year’s format where top seeds receive byes into later rounds. The tournament winner earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament starting May 1-2.

Seven players return from last year’s squad—including seniors Kennedy Buntrock, Sarah MacCallum, Alexandra Ozerets; redshirt junior Amy Leather; junior Natalie Lynch; sophomore Jessica MacCallum—and four newcomers join: transfer Candela Aparisi from Oregon and freshmen Tia Bonita Jakupovic-Kljako, Aspen Chung, Olivia Mlouk.

Among returning players are four who received All-Big West honors last season: Buntrock (All-Big West First Team doubles) and Jessica MacCallum (All-Big West Honorable Mention doubles), who had a notable singles record of 19-3 during duals last year.

Head coach Williams continues her tenure after leading Cal Poly to five straight appearances in the Big West Championship match—a program record—and guiding them to a national ranking as high as No. 38 during last season.
