Cal Poly has announced that it has parted ways with head football coach Paul Wulff following the conclusion of the 2025 season. Wulff, who had served as head coach for three seasons, previously held the roles of offensive line coach and associate head coach at Cal Poly for three years.

“I want to thank Coach Wulff for his years of service to Cal Poly both as an assistant and a head football coach,” said Cal Poly Director of Athletics Carter Henderson. “He represented the Mustangs well and was extremely dedicated to this program. I wish him the absolute best moving forward.”

The university stated that a national search for a new head football coach will begin immediately.
