The Cal Poly men’s golf team finished in sixth place at the Robert Kepler Invitational, which concluded on April 12 at Ohio State’s Columbus Country Club.
The tournament marked the final regular season event for the Mustangs, who saw three of their golfers finish under par during Sunday’s round. The results offer momentum as the team prepares for upcoming championship play.
Sophomore Nolan Kuszyk led Cal Poly with a one-under-par 71 in the final round, highlighted by five birdies and an eagle on the eighth hole. Kuszyk completed the tournament with a three-round total of three-under 213, placing him 19th overall. Graduate student Kyle Dougherty finished even par on Sunday and was one shot behind Kuszyk in 24th place with a two-under total of 214 over three rounds. Freshman Rafael Bobo-Lloret also carded a one-under-par 71 in his final round to finish even-par for the tournament (216) and secured a tie for 32nd place.
Junior Jack Jarvis posted a four-over-par score of 76 on Sunday to end up in 57th position with an overall score of four-over-par (220). As a team, Cal Poly dropped one spot during Sunday’s play but still recorded an aggregate score of three-under-par (861) across all rounds.
